Its mango season!! I love mangoes; who doesn’t?

We love mangoes because they are sweet, filling and of course healthy. It is one of the easiest snacks to make for your baby or toddler. You can start giving you baby mangoes from 6 months in small quantities and increase quantities if your baby doesn’t react to it. Mangoes are not only naturally yummy, they are also packed with nutrients.

Mangoes are a great source of Vitamins A, C and B as well as iron and iron, potassium and protein. They aid in digestion and are rich in beta-carotene which help boost immune levels. I love them because they are naturally sweet and thick enough to feed on a spoon.

If your baby is not a foodie, try giving him/her a meal of mango as breakfast and see how hungry they get afterwards. Try it and let me know if it worked for you.

Mango Puree for Babies

What you will need;

1 Large Ripe Mango ( not overly ripe)
A Clean Food Processor or Blender
Cinnamon Powder (Optional)

How to: Wash the mango very well, peel and cut into sizable chunks.
then blend in a food processor or blender until smooth. Do not add water, I repeat, do not add water! If your blender is having trouble blending, help it by using a wooden spoon to push the chunks to the bottom and try again.

Add half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder for flavor and serve. One large mango can make about 3 servings.

Mix it up

To add variety to meals, don’t hesitate to add other fruits like bananas or even yogurt, or both.
