Weekly Meal Plans

There are numerous options for Ghanaian meals for your child each day but I know that the preparation of these meals can be a hustle so I don’t expect that you follow the plan to the letter. It should serve as a guide for those clueless days.

Also remember that your child has opinions and may not always want what you think is best. Give them what they want as long as it is good for them and within your power to do so.

Note: This is for older children who can chew and eat well (From 2 years)

You can serve snacks in between but make sure you don’t fill up your little one’s belly with snacks so much that they can’t eat their meals.

You can served slices or cubes of fruit; Mango, Watermelon, Pineapple, Apple, Banana.
Smoothies: Mango & Banana, Banana & Milk, Watermelon Juice, Pineapple & Coconut Water, Watermelon & Pineapple.
You can also serve the  juices they so much love and biscuits or bread.

Mix, add on and create a plan that works for you. Check out this video of what my daughter takes to school daily for a week.

Pls my 18months old is underweight, can you help me with a weekly menu for him that can help him gain weight?

    1. Hi Selina. Has your baby been declared underweight by a medical professional? If so, they should be able to share a plan on how to get your baby to the right weight. I wouldn’t worry about it. Keep trying different foods until you find what your baby likes. You can also supplement with nutritional shakes or milk. I currently use Ensure Nutrition Powder for my toddler to make sure she gets the nutrients she needs because she is a picky eater.

My baby doesn’t seem to like cereals and loves more of solids want your suggestions on a meal plan to go by please

    1. There are lots of recipes on this page. Check them out. There’s sweet potato puree, plantain, yam… How old is your baby?
